Thanks Anne :) Thus far it has been great. I had help yesterday after surgery and am taking meds to keep myself pain free. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a fresh batch at midnight, so I am up at 2am taking them and eating a little bit of lemon sorbet so I don't get sick.
Other than that, dinner was in the crockpot. I have a quiche ready for breakfast this morning and another dinner that my husband can simply throw into the oven. I prepared everything so that I didn't have much to do and my husband could simply focus on taking care of the kids.

Most likely I would have the same reaction with Jack, but I would be a little less surprised. I would still tell him to come in and not go outside, but I've heard of parents who only teach their boys by first introducing them to the outside. In addition, I remember one ecfe class that I took... there was a mom whose son wouldn't go in the toilet but only outside. So, I guess I would understand it, but instruct him to come inside. After all, if he has seen daddy doing it on occasion (through fishing), then it would be in his sphere of understanding.
Often kids mimic what they see and I've never had to pee outside in front of the kids (yet).... but then again we haven't done as many camping trips as day-trips and fishing trips.

Excellent point Anne! I never considered the fact that this holiday is not commercialized :)
It's nice to know that if anyone makes the effort it will be appreciated because it is unexpected.
Hope your weekend is going well.

Yeah, doctor says I just need to boost up my vitamins and take it easy until I am stronger. *sigh* There is no cure or quick fix and I don't like simply sitting still and relaxing because I feel lazy.

Hi! Sorry I didn't respond sooner.
Yeah, I do see a bit of a resemblance.
    Interesting... haha!

I totally need to take a chapter out of your book. You are completely right, it's not like they will starve if I don't have extras of everything.

I'm sure with time I'll get it all figured out. For now, I'm happy to try to manage just my family's food.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see which child is the most challenging. Granted, I had enough to ensure that at least one or two of them will have me pulling my hair out.

I think that Cecelia might be my most challenging as she is like me in alot of ways. We tend to knock horns often about some of the same issues I remember struggling with when I was little. I was not a picnic when I got to my teenage years, but I've learned :)

Actually, it was just so much fun to explore the skyways and dine in different restaurants. I realized, however, that we wake up WAY too early for downtowners :) No one is up at 6am, but I am!

The room service was amazing. I got my first pedicure...

It was just wonderful to be together :)
