Yes, pet names. Not the cutesy things you call your significant other, but the names you have chosen for your pets. Is the choosing process important to you?
They are a big deal for some people, like myself. I just realized the other day how seriously I and my various family members have taken the process of naming our pets. One of my brothers has always named his dogs after world leaders: Ike(Eisenhower) and Julius(Caesar). My sister went the literary route and used names of famous writers for her dogs: Agatha(Christie) and Edith(Wharton). My family and I chose to use musical names for our dogs: Floyd (as in Pink) and Loretta (Lynn).
We all love our little buddies and have had a lot of fun naming them...Could it have started as we were growing up, with my dad naming our pets after brands of beer? Yikes!!! Maybe so...

Morpheus was our first Chameleon... his name had more to do with the fact that he could "morph" and because The Matrix had just been released.
ZI'm not sure we named any of our fish as we used to have over 100 gallons at one point.
Lily (the late bunny) was named after much deliberation and conversation as the girls wanted something "pretty".
