Awesome! I believe the girls would love to do the cardboard box oven regardless of whether or not we do it on our weekend.
I think it'll turn out pretty good. I sent the e-mail to the family and it was approved. Now, I'm only trying to organize the menu and get some games ready. We already have croquet and bocce ball... so we have SOME outdoor stuff. However, I want to have a variety of things to do for everyone.

Thanks for all your help. My husband and I did some brainstorming last night. Thus far we have thought of having a Moraccan Kebab party at our house with a litle hibachi that he saw on a food-network show. If he were able to create this in our backyard, we could have everyone cook the food on some skewers and put it all in a bowl of couscous. That way, we are using your idea for cooking outside. We make the "hobo dinners" (as we call it) almost once a week in the summer. In fact we totally rock at it! Unfortunately, with that amount of people, it would be hard to make that much food unless we did it in shifts. So, I think we'll wait on that one. Regardless, we like the idea of using a bonfire to cook.
In addition, we are going to try to get everyone to come to our house for the day because we could better-host people from our place. The guys of the family can go fishing in the morning while us ladies have a little breakfast tea party. I will make a batch of caramel rolls for the guys and pack a breakfast picnic. Then, if they are back at 9:30am, we could have another little snack/brunch... formal or informal... it doesn't matter. We could do games at our house both outside and inside until 12. Then, I found that Minnetonka has their little festival. So, if it is free (I still have to wait till they publish something about the price), then we can go to this event. There is supposed to be a petting zoo, arts and crafts fair, etc. After this, we will come home and let the little ones take their naps while we prepare the fires. Then, as I mentioned before, we will do this moroccan night around the bonfire. I've considered getting a mystery dinner game and acting that out, or possibly trying to save up some money and purchase some fireworks for the evening. So, we are still thinking and still filling in gaps. I anticipate that if we have a bunch of the games ready to go, then it will help.
    Thanks dear!

lol- yeah I need to totally learn to actually take time out for ME :)
Today, instead of doing all my work for the art show, I cleaned. It actually was extremely pleasing because I just can't function when everything is a complete wreck. With sickness, I haven't been up to much of it. So, now the house is clean and the laundry is done. I feel a weight lift off of me.
To do: art tags (went to Anchor paper today and bought some black scraps for backing)
3 more hangers/wire on the backs
    clear-coat all of the paintings
    print brochures
print and edit my artist statement
    create signage for Starbucks

    *sigh* It's almost done :)

Thanks :) I wrote much of my brainstorming on separate pages. Now, I feel like I have something to work with and hopefully once I get over the flu, I will sit down to compose it. I need to get my show ready to go by this weekend so that I have a couple of days to hang and reposition things if-necessary.
