I am a blogging ho today! But I can't help it, a lot of fun was had this weekend!
On Saturday morning, I watched the taping of Crossroads. That's Sheletta's tv show that runs every Sunday morning at 7:30 on Channel 45. It's a 30 minute program that focuses on the minority community and highlights cultural events. She taped two shows and had some amazing guests including Hmong storyteller/comedian Tou Ger Xiong, MOA fashionista Sara Rogers talking prom and a panel of fabulous women sharing what they would go tell Michelle Obama -- as the women did in the book Go Tell Michelle.
I love Sheletta! It was fun to see her in the zone and in front of the camera. She has a way of making everyone feel comfortable through her comedy and warmth.
So whether she likes it or not, I'm showing up on taping days and hanging around the set. I'm going to start booking guests who will just show up ready to talk about their organization and event. I'll be the one passing out bottles of water and snacks...anything. However, I did make myself (sort of) useful. I was the fool with a camera and started shooting!
Here's a few behind-the-scene shots on the set of Crossroads with Sheletta:

Oh my gosh, I listen every day and didnt realize Shelleta had a show on tv!
