I got a girl and she hooked me up big time Wednesday night. At 7:15 Geri Wolf of The Style Laboratory called with tickets see Sarah Palin speak at the convention. I spotted Chris Matthews of MSNBC he is a fellow blondie and I think we might get it from the same place. Get it?
Minnesota delegates really need to get an outfit. Everyone else is doing it. I vote for fishing hats and rubber boots.
THE party of the night (and the best thus far) was at r.Normans and Seven and was hosted by the Minnesota Delegation. Dan Buettner, Bill Austin, Norm Coleman, Ian and Margery Punnett and Rick Kupchella were in the house and extremely charming but it was John Ondrasik of Five for Fighting that stole the show for me. He performed a few tunes and his most memorable tune, "Superman (It's Not Easy). I am not even a fan but I liked this dude. Cute, funny, self effacing. Amen. I played in his VIP area for a little bit. There are small Red Bull refrigerators in each VIP booth but they lock them. What is that about? I guess they heard I was coming and Sugar Free Red Bull rocks my world.
Late night/early morning I landed at Solera with the owners, investors, and my pal David Anderson of Mpls. St. Paul magazine and finally ate. Is it still dinner if you eat it at 3am? I should have stayed up but I went to sleep, lost my phone in the ridiculous pile of clothing and purse contents that have built up in my bathroom and missed my wakeup call and alarm as my phone was on vibrate. This is worse than a blonde moment and Ian Punnett totally warned me that 8:05 comes really early after a late night. Agreed.
Rudy Guiuliani is obviously still following me...all the way to the convention!
Palin family and John McCain's surprise appearance
