Why: Can't get enough Fourth of July celebrating? Taste of Minnesota is this weekend and features nightly fireworks displays. This year's lineup includes revamped musical acts including Kate Vogel, Bret Michaels, Elvis Costello and Staind playing throughout the weekend. As always the Taste of Minnesota features food, entertainment, a Kid zone.

Why: The biggest celebration in the metro area, Minneapolis Red White and Boom, takes place along the beautiful Minneapolis Riverfront. Starting at 5 p.m. you can enjoy great food, four stages of live music, street performers and free family activities

What: Fourth of July at Canterbury Park

When: Saturday, July 4, 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Why: Canterbury is the premier location for horse races and high-stakes card games in Minnesota. To help celebrate the Fourth of July there will be patriotic weiner dogs racing their little hearts out in the traditional Championship Weiner Dog Race! To go along with this event, enjoy free hot dogs and a hot dog eating contest.
