Why: The day begins with a Rockin' Roll Block Party at Smile Network's headquarters in the Warehouse District of Minneapolis and winds up at the Minnesota State Fair after the hogs line up and make a rip roarin' entrance onto the Fairgrounds after a day of touring around the Twin Cities hitting up the different events of the day. Purchase raffle tickets to win a trip to visit the Orange County Choppers site and stars. All proceeds from the event go to benefit the Smile Network International which funds surgical missions and provides necessary supplies needed to repair birth defects.

When: Saturday, Sept 5- Monday, Sept 7 ,10 a.m.-5 p.m. (starts at noon on Sunday)
Why: Learn how the Minnesotans of yesteryear spent the fall season and prepared for winter and you can bet it doesn't include back-to-school shopping or football tailgating. Watch demonstrations of historic food preservation, play historic games and make a corn-husk doll craft activity on the Historic Fort Snelling. This event takes place in two locations, so you'll learn about the differences between how private individuals (such as Henry Hastings Sibley) and soldiers at the fort prepared for the changing of the seasons. There will be a free shuttle running from both sites.
