Hello Ian...I am a long time listener to Coast to Coast am and love, love, love the show. I think it is the best ever...I wanted to ask a Valentine Wish for myself and I talked with Tom then George Noory the other night and asked them the same thing I am asking of you..if you will of course.. You know Glynis McCants the numerology guest who appears on the show quite often, she said on one show that she knew her now husbands birthday before she ever met him, and using her system and other modalities I have compiled a theory of compatibility with a man whose birthday is April 19, 1962 and I want to find him..to test my theory, and I know he is either a guest or a listener just as I am of Coast to Coast and I would love to find my valentine...I would love for you to put out there in Coast to Coast land my request and ask them to call in to get my email address if they are interested too it is as follows... syl1938@clearwire.net Attn: Erica. Ian, I would so appreciate your consideration of a most unusual request but one I feel God has led me to ask...I ask blessings of abundance and happiness and all your needs and desires be met on your behalf even if you can't fulfill my Valentine wish this evening, which I know you are hosting the show tonight February 14, 2009. Thank you for all you do for all of us out here in Coast to Coast land...I am priveliged and grateful to have found Coast to Coast and think all of you are the best ever...Take care and hope to hear my wish tonight on the show...if not I will understand but please do consider it a viable request from an enlightened, loving, kind woman.

Hah, I'm surprised you even remember the "head of lettuce" show. How it got stuck in MY head would take 15 years and 3 psychiatrists I'm sure.

Anyway, glad you're still available in Chicago. WGN wasn't the same after your departure!

I do not understand why only news tidbits supporting Global Warming theory are so visible yet no one seems to push the news
that actually shows a drop in temp. These
examples are numerous and yet I see only
the same drone from your C2C site as well.
Judging by your independent streaks both you
and George should investigate the possibility
that we are not using science to determine the cause of this recent cooling trend. The lack of Sunspot activity has been proposed
to be a factor for a general reduction of solar output and may be the cause for the
repeated glaciations over the past 600,000
years. Just thought you might be interested
in an possible cause that might be a an idea for a upcoming show.

Hi Ian - this is Charles Ostman.

Aside from wishing you a happy new year, I did want to respond to the exchange you had with Matt Savinar last evening.

As one who personally has been a guest on your program, I always appreciate, and indeed expect, that whatever theories or concepts I attempt to project out to the audience, you will test and investigate the quality and reasoning of what I am hoping to convey.

That is the way it should be, I would never expect otherwise.

The first rule of anyone claiming to be an authority on anything is to present their thesis, and then have that thesis tested by logic and available evidence or data.

You were 100% right to challenge Mr Savinar's somewhat disparaging view of "people" and their potential for understanding complex topics.

Just for the record, one of the reasons I thoroughly enjoy being a guest on your program is the quality and range of diverse questions that the listening audience presents on air, and in the voluminous emails that always follow such on air appearances.

I can tell you with absolute certainty, there are a lot of very smart thinking people out there, whatever their occupation or situation in life might be.

Particularly in the arena of "futurism", which is one of the occupations I have been engaged in for 2+ decades, I always look for as diverse range of data trends and opinions as possible, by which to distill a hopefully more accurate rendering of what a future trend in question may come to be.

In any case, your response was totally appropriate

    all the best

    Charles Ostman

Hey Ian - did ya catch my blog with you on center-stage? All I can say is I hope you giggled as much as I did in creating it....well, at least I hope Margery giggled as much as me!

You have to admit, it's a good separated at birth....a kind of angelic 'Where's Waldo' in the sea of the Illinois scandal.

    Have a Happy Tuesday!!!!
