Hi Lori, What a coincidence. . . I'm heading to New YOrk with my mother tomorrow! I have been a listener for quite some time and got lucky with confirmation to attend Oprah's Monday taping in New York! Here's my problem, the tickets did not arrive and due to a computer glitch which indicated I DID get confirmed tickets, I really did not because Oprah's staff was running a "test run" at the precise moment I logged onto her website to reserve these two tickets! I am sick, not to mention my mother's state of mind!!! We have shopped, planned, etc. for this event!!! When I heard you were flying on Sun Country (as we are) it gave me the idea to contact you (as you are oh, so "Celebrity!!!") to see if you have ANY strings you can pull????? or suggestions, connections, etc??? I spoke with someone from the ticket company who told me she would forward my info to Oprah's staff in the event Oprah would be willing to compensate in some way for the mix-up. While this has nothing to do with you, as you can see I'm stretching for solutions!! Anyway, we're staying at the Hotel Pennsylvania and do have broadway theatre tickets for Tuesday evening, so all is not lost! P.S. I absolutely LOVE your show, and the station!! Thanks for letting me share my saga!!! Sincerely, Randee Randee17 |

Lori -- Back when Prince was doing his Macy's concert & that was all the buzz, I was going to call you & Julia to tell you about my Prince fantasy (don't worry, it's nothing dirty... well, maybe it would be better if it was just a little). Anyhow... I am 2 days younger than Prince & was born in Mpls, just like his purpleness. I always figured that we were born at the same hospital & that we were side-by-side in the nursery together... & he counter my every "wah wah" with a "woo hoo" or something of nature. Unfortunately my little reverie was shattered about 6 months ago when I learned that he was born at Abbott... alas, I was born at Northwestern. Dang the luck that back in '58 the two hospitals were not yet combined. End of story. - Pam P.S. Wish I was off to N.Y. with you guys.... none of my photos/outfits were outrageous enough. Oh why must I have been so minorly tasteful! Mamalou |

Hi Lori~ It was nice to meet you at the fair yesterday. I was in the lactation station when you came in to pass out the coupon for free french fries. I had the little girl with the "pebbles" hairdo. Thanks for the fries. We love them and they were so much better yesterday since they were FREE! I love listening to you and Julia. You gals are the best. Christie christie421 |

Lori - I graduated from Carlton High School and attended UMD from 1975 - 1977 when I moved here to the Twin Citiess. I love to hear you talk about going back to visits in Duluth. I went back often those firsts few years and still do. Still have family there. I worked the finish line as a volunteer at Grandma's Marathon for many years - pulling the tags off the runners as they crossed the line. (This was long before they wore computer chips.) I've always wondered if we were ever at any of the same parties in Duluth...... Did you ever go to any of the Rugby team parties???? |

Lori
