" Rachel Getting Married " is wonderful. Anne Hathway deserved her Osacar nomination for her role.

Margery, there really is only one movie to see: Blues Brothers. Period.

You may want to consider Blockbuster's movie rental instead of Netflix. They allow you to return/checkout movies at to the store and/or through the mail. It is more convenient that way. Also, you return them whenever you want (no late fees). I, too, like to be able to get something without having to plan ahead. Sometimes if we are going away on a trip, I can just run in and let the kids pick something out for themselves -- they like to pick them out in the store rather than online.

It begins in Germany, shortly after WWII. The acting is excellent. The story is particularly moving. the writers have captured real human beings struggling with real conflicts, not a two-dimensional world where all choices are black or white.



There is no violence on screen, though references are made to disturbing situations. Sex is also portrayed - but nothing extraordinary graphic.



I would have let my son see this at 12 or 13 - and my only hesitation would have been how disturbing one of the Holocaust stories, told in a courtroom, can be to anyone who is sensitive or has a vivid imagination. My son did and does have both.



I'll be looking into DEAD CALM.
