She's just being Miley...

In case you haven't already heard, Miley Cyrus is caught up in yet another photo scandal.  This time she is being called racist following the leak of a photo of Cyrus and her friends pulling their eyes to the side in an racist Asian characature. 

 "The photograph of Miley Cyrus and other individuals slanting their eyes currently circulating the Internet is offensive to the Asian Pacific American community and sets a terrible example for her many young fans. This image falls within a long and unfortunate history of people mocking and denigrating individuals of Asian descent... Not only has Miley Cyrus and the other individuals in the photograph encouraged and legitimized the taunting and mocking of people of Asian descent, she has also insulted her many Asian Pacific American fans... The inclusion of an Asian Pacific American individual in the photo does not make it acceptable." Reads a statement released by The OCA, which is an organization "dedicated to advancing the social, political and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans."  Thus far, Miley has not issued a statement regarding the photograph.

Time and again, Miley proves to be an immature product of the Hollywood machine.  Clearly she doesn't live in the real world.  This is just plain wrong.  I'll be perfectly honest, if I had a young child who was into her, I would have a really hard time with it.  While her character of Hannah Montana is adorable and wacky, the true Miley Cyrus is nothing but a vapid mess.
