Seriously???
I am probably more worked up about this than I should be. Correction, I am definitely more worked up about this than I should be. Katherine Heigl from 'Grey's Anatomy' (who you will no doubt recall has said that the writers have given her "nothing to work with" of late and blamed them for her lack of Emmy nomination last season) amid rumors that she is going to be killed off the show has said that she would like to stay "if they'll have her." Shonda Rhimes who is the Creator and Executive Director of the show has not tipped her hand to say whether or not Heigl's character Izzie Stevens will die from the cancer she has been diagnosed with.
Recent reports were that Heigl was interested in growing her film career and was not interested in continuing on the show, but now she is saying otherwise. Heigl says about pursuing both film and staying with 'Grey's', "I'm more than happy to make that compromise. As my agent likes to say, 'High-class problems,' I don't know if I want to continue for five years working 12 months a year, but I can take at least another year or 2."
Wait a second, I think we need to revisit that again, "I don't know if I want to continue for five years working 12 months a year..."
Once more, "I don't know if I want to continue for five years working 12 months a year..."
You mean like other people, Katherine? Like most people who bring home a paycheck? Like most people who wake up every morning to go to work - 12 months a year? The only people who really don't work 12 months a year are teachers - and even they take on jobs the 3 months they are off because they aren't getting paid nearly enough (in my opinion) - and certainly nowhere near what a star of 'Grey's Anatomy' is getting paid. Or what about REAL doctors - who work 12 months a year and much more difficult hours actually saving lives?
If it's really too much Katherine, then the 'Grey's' fans, I'm sure will be more than willing to let you go so you can have a little break from "working 12 months a year" like the rest of the world. I know I'd be willing to go without Izzie Stevens!
Anybody else think Katherine Heigl could use a little reality check?!?!?!??!?

I think actors/actresses in this category (ones who are believing their own hype), should take a lesson from David Caruso.
MarshaWhen you are in a profession when all you hear is how beautiful, talented, and fantastic you are, you get a very distorted view of reality. If you do not have a strong foundation (friends and family who keep it "real"), you can go the way of the many Hollywood trainwrecks that get reported every day.
It's pretty disgusting--especially when there are so many of us who would KILL to be working right now regardless of the hours.
