People.com is reporting that TR Knight, who plays the character George on Grey's Anatomy is asking to be written out of the series. A source close to the situation reports that his request will likely be granted and he will be released from his contract.
This same source reports that it has nothing to do with the ****phobic remark made by Isaiah Washington prior to his ejection from the show. In fact, the source says, "T.R. doesn't even know why people would mention it. It was so long ago."
ABC has no comment.
He hasn't been on a whole lot this season anyway, I am not too sure he'd be missed.
...and how about some Gossip Girl news...
E!'s Ted Casablanca is reporting that Gossip Girl co-stars Blake Lively (she's the girl) and Penn Badgley (he's the guy) have broken up. This amid rumors that other GG stars Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr are hooking up. This might be reason number 1 and 2 as to why co-workers should not date, the hookup and the breakup. I'm sure I know a few guys and gals who would volunteer to take any of these young hollywood stars for a night on the town!
John Rich from country music duo Big & Rich got married over the weekend to his longtime girlfriend, Joan Bush.
I'm not a fan of country music, but I am a fan of CMT's Gone Country which is hosted by John Rich. I hope they are very happy, and that she gives him no cause to write a sad country song.
Not so sweet for Jodie Sweetin...
Having filed for legal seperation from her husband of 16 months, the details of the rocky split are coming to light due to some new court papers. Jodie Sweetin, best known for her young character Stephanie Tanner on Full House has been very open about her first marriage, her meth addiction, her 7-month old baby girl Zoie, and now her split from second husband Cody Herpin. Sweetin contends that her husband has made many excuses for not even attempting to find a job, and has been unemployed for the duration of their marriage. She also states that, "Our house is in foreclosure, our water has been shut off twice. Currently, all of our other utilities are overdue." Sweetin says that they have been living off residuals from Full House and help from their parents.
How rude.

to accept the Australian Film Institute's international award for best actor. Heath Ledger would be so proud. Having been honored for his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight, Heath's sister Kate accepted the award for Ledger saying, "It has been without a doubt the most difficult year, losing such a loved family member. We are so proud of him and humbly accept this award on behalf of his beautiful daughter [Matilda], whom we will cherish forever."
Apparently since Paris Hilton's big split with Benji Madden, Nicole Richie (who is Paris' on again off again BFF and whose baby daddy is Benji Madden's twin brother Joel Madden) has been telling Benji that he can do better.
I think we all see where this is going. Those two are going to be enemies again just like they were after Nicole reportedly watched Paris and Rick Solomons home-made porno, One Night In Paris (such a classy title). This will be a highly publicized scuffle for as long as it takes for the two of them to feel like they've gotten enough attention, and then they'll kiss and make up and maybe do a reality show together. Don't say I didn't warn you.

William Balfour, the estranged brother-in-law of Jennifer Hudson, was arrested Monday and charged in the brutal murder of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother, and 7 year old nephew.
I hope he's locked up for life.

Mario Lopez will be hosting the Miss America pageant again this year on TLC. I am asking seriously, because I want to know, does anyone get excited about the pageant anymore? I remember the 80's and how exciting the Miss America pageant was. I would contend that at the time it was the closest thing we had to "reality" tv. With the dawn of (pardon me for saying) far more interesting competition shows, ones that come with prizes far more glamorous than a college scholarship, I thought that the Miss America pageant would die quickly.
Also, just curious, what's the allure of Mario Lopez? Is it the dimples or the muscles? Discuss.
