Brad and Angelina have finally (3 weeks into their lives) unveiled the twins! I'm so glad the waiting is over. It is so exciting! The babies look like... babies. Who knew? (I hope you are reading the previous words dripping with the sarcasm that I am injecting as I write).
You can view the babies by purchasing People Magazine and helping them recoup the (ridiculous) $14 million they paid to get the pictures ("it's all going to charity"). Or, you could just look here:
I know that the picture is small, but you get the idea. They are babies, and there are 2 of them. If you were able to open the magazine, you would see a 19 page family photo album of the Jolie-Pitts. None of those pictures show the real Jolie twins that people are interested in - just the babies. So save your money.

Christina Applegate is being treated for breast cancer. The former Kelly Bundy found the cancer during a regular MRI. She is undergoing her doctor's recommended treatment, and is expected to make a full recovery.

Gossip Girl walked away with 6 Nickelodeon Teen Choice Awards this weekend. I will go on record here: Gossip Girl is not a show for teenagers. I am disturbed that this show is getting teen praise. The topics in this show are far too adult for teenagers, and in no way reflect the realities of high school. Or do they? In any case, the show is excellent for discriminating adults, but I am not too thrilled with 14 year-olds getting too involved in those story lines!

This may be the one and only moment that I will rally for Lindsay Lohan. She's right, though. She responds to the ridiculous statements of the LA police chief who claimed that the paparazzi are no longer an issue in part because "Lindsay Lohan has gone gay."
Lindsay says, "Police chiefs shouldn't get involved in everyone else's business when it comes to their personal life. It's inappropriate." Now, I believe she could have said more, but she was unrehearsed. It was classy of her to make no further comment about the status of her relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson. I have to be perfectly honest, whatever the nature of their relationship, I think it's a good thing that Lindsay Lohan has a confidant. If the only reason she's been in the tabs lately is because she's been hanging out a lot with a girl, so be it. Much better than drunk driving and other drug related shenanigans.
The Olsen Twins are preparing for the release of their new coffee table book due out in October. The book is called Influence and highlights the creative minds that have influenced Ashley and Mary-Kate throughout the career. It sounds like it's mostly fashion oriented and less Full House oriented, and this is why this book will never grace my coffee table. Find me the bad 80's TV coffee table book and I'm buying!

Do you remember Heather Matarazzo? She has always played the awkward girl. I think she was on Roseanne for a while, then she starred in Welcome to the Dollhouse, and she was Anne Hathaway's friend in The Princess Diaries. She is now engaged to her partner for over a year, Carolyn Murphy. Her publicist says that because the two do not have a specific 'male or female role' they both proposed to eachother. I am so happy to live in a world where these two women who are in love can be together openly and honestly. And check out this "awkward" girl now... not so awkward!

Ryan Gosling was recently spotted again with his ex-girlfriend Rachel McAdams. The two starred together in The Notebook, and shared a much publicized relationship. Could they be back together?
Many people know Ryan Gosling from his movie work like The Notebook, and Lars and the Real Girl (which I just saw, and it's pretty great). However, (here comes the nerd), I remember him from a little Saturday morning show called Breaker High. The show was aimed at teens and was about a high school on a cruise ship. What a concept! I LOVED that show! It was in the same category as Saved By the Bell, Hang Time, and Sweet Valley High. If it ever comes out on DVD. I'm so getting it...
Speaking of blasts from the past...
I saw the Little House on the Prairie Musical at the Guthrie last night. The audience was filled with moms and their daughters, I was even there with my mom (it was my 31st birthday gift from my mom). There were moms and daughters of all ages. It was kind of cool to see that relationship in so many different forms, and know that they were all there because they had shared the love of those books. I realized that the younger girls that were there were probably reading the books, or had just read the books. I also realized that I was more excited about the show because I had seen the TV show in its first run, and HELLO, Melissa Gilbert plays Ma! It was great for a little shot of nostalgia, and was good clean fun for all ages, I recommend a mother/daughter outing for you and yours!

All this Shia LeBoeuf business. Here's the Cliff's notes, he was in a crash on Sunday while he was driving under the influence and authorities have just released a statement that the crash was not the Indiana Jones star's fault.
Here's what I think: Who cares if it was his fault or not? He was driving under the influence and he got caught. End of story. He has been cited for misdemeanor driving under the influence. There are very few things that I think are more stupid than driving drunk. Try to defend it if you dare, but I believe there is no excuse.

Allegedly LifeStyles Condoms is considering offering Miley Cyrus $1M to be their spokesperson. The campaign would be aimed at teens urging them to wear condoms. Cyrus' camp says though they have not received an official offer, no such offer would be considered.
On the topic of Miley, I don't want too many people to know this, but my husband downloaded her new single 7 Things last night. This would be a good time to mention that my husband and I often behave like 13 year-old girls. The single is (dare I say it) awesome! It has hints of Avril and Kelly Clarkson - two proven hitmakers. I predict her new Breakout album will be a success.
Miley Cyrus is refusing to lock lips with Katy Perry, the I Kissed a Girl artist who recently confessed to having a girl-crush on the Hannah Montana star. I say, good idea Miley, that kind of thing can ruin a career, just ask Britney Spears.
Cyrus also is drawing some press for telling E! that the third season of her hit Disney show Hannah Montana will likely be her last. Disney was quick to release a statement to the contrary, reminding Miley that her contract leaves an opening for a fourth season.

Police confiscated a concealed and unloaded gun from Jerry Lewis as he was boarding a flight from Detroit to Las Vegas. The 82 year-old entertainer's manager said the gun was a prop that Lewis likes to twirl during his Vegas act. The Police didn't think that was too funny, saying if the gun were merely a prop "it wouldn't be a weapon and we couldn't cite him for carrying a weapon." Check out the full story here.
