Is there anyone here who is also suffering from migraine headaches? If you are, could you please share how you treat the pain? Right now, I watch my sleep, took off caffeine and take pain relievers. Will appreciate the feedback. Thanks. Mona.

I was having extreme migranes about 6 months ago, the doctors gave me Imitrex and vicoden after all the tests showed that was indeed migranes. I still keep those on hand but what has helped the best for me is getting my blood preassure down and increasing my physical activity and limiting my intake of dairy. Since I started doing that the most I've ever had to take was 1 Advil for a dull headache.

Hello Mona.  This is Dianne.  What you're doing is excellent.  Enough sleep can also avoid the triggers.  You might want to watch the food you eat.  MSG is also a trigger for migraine.  My trigger is hormonal, though.  I only get it as a PMS.  During heavy attacks, I take fioricet.  It's been my friend for some time now.  Ask your doctor about it and if prescribed, you can buy fioricet on any pharmacy out there.  There you go.  Hope this helps.
