Being thrifty is a new vogue, and clothing swaps are a great way to update your wardrobe with other's clothing, shoes and accesories. I have an event coming up where you can join in. It is a spring/summer swap only, which means bring your "gently worn" yet stylish spring/summer casual and business clothing, shoes and accessories. We all have clothing that doesn't fit, or we didn't like the color or style once we got it home and we keep these things because we thinbk they're too good to get rid of. Well, this is the perfect opportunity. You are given swap coupons equal to the amount of items you bring. You are given a shopping bag, snacks and a whole lot of fun and networking. I've yanked everything out from deep in storage and dry cleaned it all. Amazingly; I was able to retain most of it with all of the original Joy Division and Echo and the Bunnymen buttons and t's. I call it *New Wave II* this season. A value village hunter picked up what couldn't be retained. Bought a cat carraige from there recently in mint condition for $8.00 cdn plus a pressure-wash!!! |
