yes im behind times. i was so upto my neck with michael i could not take it any longer so weeks after his death i started reading the tabs. what was he thinking or his other half on names for children the one that cought my eye was blanket.. come on it could of been pillow or better yet bed spread where has the world gone with wierd names like blanket. that is a a 1 thumb up LOL my first child shall be called light bulb... what a bright idea... |

His youngest son's name is not blanket -- that's a name the media has given the child and, I feel, rudely continues to call the child. I believe the child's given name is Prince Michael. (He was a little obsessed with naming his kids after himself since all of them have Michael in their name.) |

Actually, it was Michael who gave the child the nickname "Blanket." He began calling him that as an infant (I think because publicly he always covered the child with a blanket to keep him from being photographed - but that's just an assumption). His given name is Prince Michael II. His first son is also named Prince Michael - so presumably he is I, although he just goes by Prince Michael. I think the media keeps calling the boy Blanket because that is what MJ always called him to distinguish him from his first son with the same name. |

I actually read a long time ago (so, I'm paraphrasing) that the reason he called his youngest son Blanket was because blankets are warm and cuddly and thus was a nice nickname for a kid. |
