So is everyone getting a flu shot? I have never gotten one. My mother gets one every year and every single year she gets so sick she thinks she's dying. I have always been afraid the shot will make me sick. She even said even though she gets sick from the shot, the doctor said it would be worse if she actually got the flu. |

Hello. I have no intentions of getting a flu shot but I think that for many people it would be best if they go in & get the shot. |

Annual shots of any kind and some others... NO WAY! do most people really know how shots work? the flu shots .. it is called media hype!!!! they scare people into it.... same with shots for pets- it is time for people to trully understand how shots work.....and understand the risks. Iif you ask the medical field, "off camera"... what they would really do?... .. many say no... ( look back at the Small Pox vaccines they .. the media and pharmaceutical field.. wanted everyone to get.. again....many in the medical field said no.. and you did not hear much after that) .. they were ok with the first shot... no need for the second one... Start with this.... a GREAT BOOK called .. Natural Immunities by Pat Mc Kay or go to www.patmckay.com . learn know more and ask questions- why are there more problems with allergies in both humans and pets now a days than 30 years ago???... it seems the medical field is going backwards with all we know these days. why? it is up to people to research how shots truly work and then make a decision. Not just get scared when the media goes to town and scares us. so you get sick... you get a couple of days off work... this saying drives me nuts .... but it is true... think outside the box.. just because we have been doing it for the past 50 yrs... does NOT make it right... ASK QUESTIONS and do your own homework.. shots poke the immune system, poke it enough.... it breaks down and allergies can start- along with other things. |

I got my flu shot last week and will go back for H1N1 shot when available. I have asthma and my doctor (and CDC) recommend. My boyfriend works at a hospital and the shots are required for everyone who works there. I believe a hospital would qualify as the "medical field" as described by Katie K9, and they do believe it is beneficial. I get the flu shot every year because of asthma I've had since I was a child (and I work in public, with a lot of people who could get really sick if I pass on the flu to them). |
