Wow, thanks everyone for your suggestions. I should try the nettie pot, but I haven't been able to find one in my CVS, do you know where to buy them? I ended up taking some cold medicine, tylenols cold medicine, but I forgot that it was a nasal decongestant so I spent the entire day in the bathroom blowing my nose. So I stopped taking that and bought some thing called "Soothers" that are like cough drops but they have echinacea and Vitamin C in them, and they have been great, I think i am addicted to them now. And I didn't mean that vitamin supplements have been proven not to work, just Airborne, I guess I should've written that differently. Anyway, thanks again for all your advice, the lemons and limes ****tail seems interesting, maybe I will do that next time! |

I saw a plastic neti pot (a.k.a. "nasal irrigator") at Walgreens. I got mine at Whole Foods. The brand name is SinuCleanse and it comes with packets of premixed salt/baking soda.

I'm a big fan of Mucinex-it seems to loosen everything up for me. Also for scratchy throats, a spoonful of honey really feels good going down-it kinda coats the throat. |
