I called the bank yesterday because I was afraid I was going to bounce a check, and I wanted to make sure I was covered. The bank associate, while looking at my checking expenses, told me that she noticed I spent a dollar on iTunes and maybe I should think about prioritizing my money spent. Now, if I was sitting with my banker, trying to figure out a better budget situation, I could understand the advice-giving. But, I felt a little embarrassed and I don't know if it's because she is right or because I felt like I was a child who just got a spanking. |

That is totally inapproprate. It is like the grocery store cashier telling you "Oh you really shouldn't eat that. It has too many calories". Ugh! She was playing passive aggressive judgement with you. |

She's not a financial planner-she's a bank teller. Completely out of line. |

That is totally not OK. I would call the manager and file a complaint. Let us know what happens, and if things get really out of hand please contact Consumerist.com!

What a giant bag of ho, they had no right to say that to you. I'd totally complain to a manager about it and perhaps just take your business elsewhere. |

This is probably actionable. I'm with Pika, let someone know. |
