How odd, Daniel Knight - what you call "rebukes in kindness" sounds like temper tantrums to me. (And BTW - I AM familiar with what a rebuke is - and how it is intended to work in a Christian context.)  If I am on the receiving end, I usually listen with courtesy and take what is said into consideration.  But NO ONE is required to take YOUR interpretation as gospel.

Were I Ian, I'd be tempted to suggest you go pound sand.
