I'm not going to respond to your question on that thread... but I felt it important to re-read your posts. I do believe that you offered thoughtful opinions devoid of the bashing and name-calling that some of these threads of late have turned to. As for your question: I think an e-mail to the station will suffice in terms of voicing your opinion. Unfortunately, these sites seem to compel people to write completely obnoxious things about the personalities of fm107. I've never met LoJ and listen occasionally to their program, so I'm not the great defender. However, I would prefer this site to move toward the positive and thoughtful. Do you know what I mean? I believe it's important to recognize the difference between constructive criticism and character assasination. It turns into something out of a bad high-school movie when people start making fun of a personality's looks, iq, or character. It crosses the line of civility. haha... I miss hearing from the Satellite Sister's civlity guru :)

In addition, although I realize that many people have differing opinions, I wonder how positive and helpful it is to blast the message boards with this type of negativity. Although I know not every post is like this, the obnoxious ones get in and it takes away from the substance.

    What do you think?

I think you are completely right! Hopefully by the time the next 6 months rolls around, we'll be fully equipped with our healthy habits! I'm hoping to love exercising, be comfortable with the healthy food, and solidify my positive attitude towards food. It's a hard journey, but it's worth it! I'm even seeing the positive outlook in my kids! They know that I'm trying to be "healthy" and "strong" and these are the words they are using to describe themselves. Thankfully we are not jumping on the "skinny" bandwagon, and that should deter the issues that some young girls have.

Thank you for your comment on my kiddos!

Could you come to Sawatdee on Sunday, Feb 17th??

I am on the Fab study through the UofM. I got into the control group where I go into a Jenny Craig center and get all my food, support, and all the equipment and tools that they offer FREE for 2 years. Hopefully by this time, I'll hit my goal weight and will have learned to keep things on track for my own.

I just went in today for my Jenny appointment. I was so worried about it because I had totally splurged the other day at Mairin's Table and had some yummy hummis and her fabulous dessert! Yet, I'm at 35.4lbs lost and 23.5 inches lost over 3 months! YAY! I'm so happy! I haven't been at this weight since I got pregnant with my oldest!

Also- I'm not in this one- but the Weiser study pays you 300$ pays for your gym membership for 6 months. It's also through the UofM.

Thank you for the wonderful comment on my page! I do try to remember that this crazy time is only passing and soon I'll have 4 teens... then they'll all be gone. Congrats on the weight-loss! I'm 30 lbs down as of last tuesday (so we'll see where I'm at next tuesday).

It's wonderful to meet you! If you get a chance, come to meet some of your fellow LOLers on Sunday Feb 17th!

BTW: How did you handle the boys with their necessity to pick at each other? I'd love to hear your secrets! I do ok,  but it seems that kids will inevitably bother each other... and a mom can only hope to have some semblence of order in a nutty child-filled home.

Oh, and how are you losing the weight? Are you in a program?

Thanks for visiting my page.  I too like Kevyn Burger the best but don't get to listen to her very often.  If it's true, I can't wait until Conan takes over for Jay Leno.  Then I can watch him more often.
