I Want To Be Like You

So, last night was trivia night.  We were planning on going to a different bar where the trivia company just started.  I got there just before ten and found out that this bar starts it at nine.  So, I called up Jan, who was on her way, and told her to get her azz to bumpers.  We both got there right as one of the trivia dudes got to our table to sign us up and ask which round we wanted double points on.

Jan picked the "My gay friend would know this" round for double points.  I was nervous about that, because I don't watch A&E or whatever. 

Round one was the "Stephen King" round.  We got 10/12 on this round.  That was a pretty good way to start off, I think.  Stephen King used to be my favourite author, so I was a little disappointed about the two we missed.

Round three "my gay frind would know this".  I'm glad Jan was there for this one.  I thought I'd know at least half of the answers, but I only knew about three of them.  We only missed one on this round 11/12!  That's what I like to see on the double round!

Round three, "fat kids".  This was a video round where they showed a picture of a famous fat kid and asked a question about them.  example:  they showed a pic of Chris Griffin from Family Guy and asked who did the voice for the character.  I believe we got 8/12 here ... not great but not horrible.

Round four the music round.  ...  This was the most awful music round ever!  I can't remember exactly, but I don't think we even got half of them.  Most of the bands they played were that new crap the "scene" kids are listening to.  Whatever, there went our chances for a win.

When it came time to announce the winners, they said there was a tie for 3rd place.  They didn't say our team for that tie, so I lost hope.  If we didn't get third place, then it's just over.  Then they said there was a tie for first.

  . . . HEY!  We tied for first place!  I almost chocked on the beer I was drinking.

They gave us the tie breaker question .. What year was Andy's mom born? (Andy is one of the two trivia dudes).  Guess who guess closest?  Holy balls!  It was us!  So yeah, we one the $100.  The whole bar was cheering for us.  They did one of those slow claps, you know what I'm talking about, right?  People then lined up to take turns giving us lap dances.  Oh, and we spent some of our winnings on shots.  mmm ... shots.

You can't beat the mighty Spoogehammer ... yeah, I said it.  What?

After the bar closed we went to Perkins.  I built a wall with the coffee pot and some glasses, so Jan wouldn't see me dipping my toast in egg.
