I can only imagine the fear that must have overtaken your senses as you searched for your 7 year old. I do know that at some point I will mess up, just hope that it turns out ok. For now, I simply embrace the time that I have and am grateful for all my blessings.

    Hi Mary!

Thanks for the interesting comment on my blog. I don't know how you took such responsibility as a kid; my mother would have NEVER trusted me with the house and the kids....really! It must have prepared you for having a family of your own - which by the way, they're adorable! I worked at a Sears Surplus one fall to help them organize inventory - boy that was a huge mistake...I think I spent every penny I earned on what must have been butt-ugly jewelry (like dah - it was sent to Sears Surplus!)

I'm so sorry to hear that your son struggles with a disability. I've worked with the PACER Center for years and while I think I've heard of the disorder, I know nothing about it - but how difficult it must be. Do you use them for services at all - they're a WONDERFUL resource! I hope you're able to get away and re-energize yourself sometimes.....you certainly deserve it.

Perhaps you can get away and join us for a night of fun. There are others on G-Spot from Big Lake - and I know they carpool frequently! I just gave you your second star - stop by my place and give me one too! Knowing all on your plate, if I could give you a galaxy, I would. You're a great inspiration to all Moms!

Hope to see you soon!! ;) Jill

It's always good to hear about other successful adoptions.  We were quite surprised about 5 years after we adopted him, and were in the process of the home study update for #2 to find out I was pregnant.  My big worry during the pregnancy was whether I would love this baby as much as my adopted child.  You would think it would have been the other way around.

I could tell you lots of things about MrBunny, but I wouldn't want to scare you away from here.

Welcome to LOL land.  Our family is also very involved in scouting.  Our 18 year old daughter is working on her Gold Award.   Our 17 year old son has a few merit badges left (and a project) for his Eagle.  He also works as camp staff at a Cub camp during the summer and at Polar Camp for cubs during the winter.  Our 15 year old son is at Star rank but is not the camper that his older brother is.  I am the leader for my daughter's Girl Scout troop, and have been for 13 years.  MrBunny is an ASM for our sons' troop and also the Charter Rep.
