I am Roman Catholic. I attended Catholic school from 1st grade to 12th grade and 4 years of college. I am a person who believes we are the one true faith. As for the rest of the people on this planet it is up to them to decide for themselves which faith, structured or not, that they believe in.
Politically I am a Libertarian. This means that I believe that it is none of my business what anyone else’s believes religiously. However I still get to profess my faith and attempt conversion on the rest of the world. But I cannot force non-believers to join my faith.
The concept of the separation of church and state is one sided. The voter will vote his or her believes. The elected official must not demand that his religious beliefs be the beliefs that all others follow.
A good follower of Christ would be a socialist. We would share all our possessions. We would help the sick, hungry, unclothed, and detained people that we see. We would love one another as we love ourselves and as we love God. We would strive to love God as well as He loves us. So to bower a line from a movie, “John and Paul got it right all we need is love.”
This started as a comment to Streelife’s blog about religious state school. I guess I got carried away. This just might be a bad case of TMI.

Mr. Bunny- you are very brave. I applaud your ability to be honest and clear in what you believe.
