    Terrell Swan, founder and principal designer at Catstudio, will be at
    Ampersand on Friday November 7 and Saturday, November 8 to celebrate the unveiling of the Twin Cities pillow. At 18" square, the hand-embroidered cotton pillow features well-known places including Mickey's Diner, the Walker Sculpture Garden's Spoonbridge and Cherry, the State Fair and the Chain of Lakes. Famous Minnesotans including Prince, Garrison Keillor and Charles Schultz can also be found in the design pillow's debut and sign and personalize Catstudio products. With an initial run of only 150 pillows, the$140 Twin Cities pillow is sure to become a collectors' item.

    Posing Paws Pet Portraits
    The 20th Annual Posing Paws Pet Portraits event benefiting the Minnesota Valley Humane Society is happening this weekend and next from 9am to 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday in Burnsville. The event is open to all pets and their families - not just dogs and cats. The cost is $50 and includes a professional photo sitting, as well as a CD containing all high resolution, print quality photos from the photo session.  The $50 fee is also 100% tax deductible.     Santa's Arrival
    The Radio City Rockettes will lead the audience in a countdown to Santa's arrival with a "countdown kick." After the countdown, Santa's elves will welcome Santa Claus to "The Santa Experience" at Mall of America located on Level 3 South across from Bubba Bump Shrimp Co. As part of Santa's arrival, elves will hand out jingle bell bracelets and reindeer ears to kids. After the ceremony, Santa will meet and greet all the good boys and girls, and the Rockettes will pose for photos and sign autographs.

    Art Attack is in its eleventh year now, and the event has become one of the most anticipated art crawls of the season. All weekend long, the 130 artists who work in the Northrup-King building in NE Minneapolis open their studios to the public, who are welcome to browse, buy, or chat. This year there will also be live music, a fashion show, demonstrations, kids activities, and a chance to win $500 Art Bucks, which you are free to spend on the object of your desire.
