The Russian Art Museum is fairly small... only 2 floors. They have a rotating collection and their normal collection. In their normal collection is a painting of a girl... so innocent... sweet... yet haunted. In Russian art, it sometimes is a contrast between the bleak and the sad (with the communist angle as well as the depressed economy and poor) as well as the color. Color is a big deal in Russian art and often the focal point is the bright red color that seems to come up in almost every painting. Of course, this depends on the painter and their personal interpretation.
Last year, they had this huge painting of an old woman. Her head was in her hands, it was as if the world was on her shoulders. She was sad, overwhelmed, old, and yet each wrinkle on her face and in her hands spoke of the wisdom that these difficult life-experiences must have brought to her life. It has haunted me... stuck with me... and inspired me.
The Russian Art Museum is possibly a little less-glamorous than the other Museums, but totally worth your time. You could whip through it within an hour and have time enough to see each painting. In addition, as you would be going without a charity event to slow you down it may even go faster or possibly provide you with an added ability to embrace the artwork. I'm always there when there is a huge spread and wine. So, it's more of an event and less of an art exhibit.
Also, it's a beautiful building... an old church complete with a gift shop that displays the most amazing jewelry and other items.
If you want to take her to a larger museum, I would recommend one of the bigger ones with history and possibly some of the bigger names. The Russian Art Museum tends not have too many big-names or maybe none of the classics. However, it's variety is impressive considering the fact that it only features Russian artists.

    Tess,
I remember having to take a steriod for 3 days after my chemo treatments and then I was off them. I cannot remember if it was with both the AC and Taxol, but for sure with the AC. I will look back at my stuff.I made it very clear to my oncologist that I did not want to be on the steriod more than what I had to be.

I was having issues with headaches and I think and they switched my antinausea meds that they gave me at my chemo sessions when I started Taxol.

I am assuming that you discussed taking the B6 and the Quercertone with your oncologist right?? If you didn't, you really should. If you did not, I am so sorry I did not mention to do so.

My first thought is that is not what is causing it, but I am not a doctor. The chemo builds in your body and things tend to get worse as you get more and more of it. I have really dry skin too Tess and I remember my skin getting painfully dry. It was so embarrasing when I would wear black shirts and have to take them off at the Dr.'s office so they could peek at my expanders. My shirts were FULL of skin that was coming off. DRY DRY DRY. My feet were terrible too! I had to exfoliate so much and I was constantly applying lotion to my hands and feet.

Google in side effects from B6 and Q and see if that is a side effect.

Keep in touch!! Write when you can sweetie.
