I just looked at the photo of those "offensive" traffic posts in OR and I have to say, I don't get the hype. I've seen cement posts like that in lots of places and have never once thought they looked overly phallic or offensive. I think the people in OR are maybe a little too sensitive or oversexed. Sheesh.

One time I went out to dinner with a friend at a rather lovely establishment. We sat and chatted for a bit until the waitress came to take our order. After ordering, we talked for a long time. In fact, we talked so long that we didn't notice that our order was taking a long time. After about 35 minutes our waitress came over with her manager. She introduced us to the manager who proceded to tell us that our order had been lost and had not YET been entered into the system. However, the manager apologized, said our entire bill would be on him and would we care to change or add to our order. Oh you KNOW we did. We added an appetizer because by this time we were really hungry. And I think we added a dessert as well. We were only slightly put off about the lost order but very happy with how it was handled. We continue to patronize this restaurant and have experienced lovely service every time.

I have a minor internal conflict. I love your show, and I love sleep. In order to listen to your show I have to get up at 3:00am pacific time and start the listen live stream. Somehow it seems so worth it as it starts my day with a smile and a good feeling. Great show! |

while this may not be suitable for a 'happy boy' segment, it's soooo funny nonetheless: THREE WOMEN IN A SAUNA THREE WOMEN--TWO YOUNGER, AND ONE SENIOR CITIZEN, WERE SITTING NAKED IN A SAUNA. SUDDENLY THERE WAS A BEEPING SOUND. THE YOUNG WOMAN PRESSED HER FOREARM AND THE BEEP STOPPED. THE OTHERS LOOKED AT HER QUESTIONINGLY. "THAT WAS MY PAGER," SHE SAID. I HAVE A MICROCHIP UNDER THE SKIN OF MY ARM." A FEW MINUTES LATER A PHONE RANG. THE SECOND YOUNG WOMAN LIFTED HER PALM TO HER EAR. WHEN SHE FINISHED, SHE EXPLAINED: "THAT WAS MY MOBILE PHONE. I HAVE A MICROCHIP IN MY HAND." THE OLDER WOMAN WAS FEELING VERY LOW TECH. NOT TO BE OUTDONE, SHE DECIDED SHE HAD TO DO SOMETHING JUST AS IMPRESSIVE. SHE STEPPED OUT OF THE SAUNA AND WENT TO THE BATHROOM. SOON SHE RETURNED WITH A PIECE OF TOILET PAPER HANGING FROM HER BACKSIDE. THE OTHERS RAISED THEIR EYEBROWS AND STARED. THE OLDER WOMAN THEN EXPLAINED........."WELL, WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT...I'M GETTING A FAX!! " |

Just looking things up today, I thought of you.......I know your memories are from FM107, but I was wondering if you remembered a deer breaking through a window when you were live on the air, or when you said a nasty word at the Mississippi Valley Fair, and most of all when you called "Jimmie the Groundhog"...You are and always will be the best morning show the Quad Cities has ever seen or heard...even on "Tar Beach".....
