As much as I hate the cold weather, slush, and many things that go along with Winter, I have to say that I am thankful for it too.

The reason being that when Spring comes and the sunshines thru my window while my dog basks in it rays and they birds chirp, and colors start to appear...I am aware of this change and observe it unfold before me....it always makes me stop and smile when I hear the first bird of the season.... I think that if I lived somewhere esle (like others I know) when the change in season is minimal, it would be easy to forget the blessings of spring and summer.  I am so looking forward to see how much of my garden survived this tough winter as I made significant changes last year in the lay out and landscaping.....

I think that this being the 1st day of spring is a great day to give thanks for WINTER..........and frankly I am thankful it is ALMOST GONE!
