Amen to  "everything in excess!"  :)

I love to read cookbooks too!! Do you ever listen to "The Splendid Table" on MPR? Some of the authors Lynn has interviewed have some very good books. I LOVE anything by Rose Levy Berenbaum (Pie and Pastry Bible, Cake Bible) because she also tells a great story. Just reading about how she got her brother's wedding cake to the wedding was worth the price of the book!
